Pringles and his siblings (the "P" pups) were found dumped in the middle of nowhere, scared and hungry. They made it to a kind person's ranch, where he could trap them and take them to a TX shelter, where they were then rescued by GPRS. When Pringles arrived in WA in January 2021, he was still absolutely terrified of people and refused to walk on leash. He was the the last of his fellow P siblings to make the transport trip to the PNW because he wouldn't let anyone get near him.
Pringles did not want to be near me the first couple days, so we had him trailing a long lead that could be picked up from a distance. However, Pringles loved being with other dogs and quickly learned from our pack that the two humans in the house weren't actually that scary after all! By the third day, Pringles was requesting pets and affection and became my favorite lap dog! Once he was comfortable, he was no longer interested in hiding in the crate and got up to plenty of mischief. Pringles often got in trouble for putting his front paws on the kitchen counter, trying to steal the "tub shroom" out of the bathtub drain, begging for the human's food, and jumping in the raised garden beds, among other things. Pringles was very dramatic when he would finally decide to lay down after I would tell him to "make good choices Pringles"! Pringles was adopted by a great family and joined a pack of three dogs and two cats. He now goes by Chubbs and lives in Bothell, WA.
