Risa was a sweet girl that joined us in August 2021, one week after we added fellow foster Anakin. I was excited to add foster Risa to our pack because I assumed that she would help keep foster Anakin entertained, which she did starting on Day 1. When Risa first arrived, she was quite skinny and had a very sparse, wiry coat, and I referred to her as Risa the skinny hyena based on her wild playing style. I also joked that Risa and Anakin often looked like conjoined twins, always lying on top of each other during play sessions! Risa was with us when my nieces visited for a few days and she absolutely loved them. Risa was also with us when foster Costello joined our pack and quickly helped to make him comfortable and tapped into his playful side. On her Gotcha Day, Risa joined our pack for the Wag Love canine cancer walk at Marymoor Park and then met her new family. She now goes by Leia and has a golden retriever sister, cat siblings, and chickens/ducks!
